The story behind the name
At Bluebird, we are inspired by the symbol of the bluebird as a representation of hope, happiness, and new beginnings. In the world of alpine sports, a bluebird day is a beautiful, sunny day, perfect for outdoor pursuits. Similarly, our mission is to bring new beginnings and hope to leaders and organisations by helping them reach their full potential. Through our values-based and courageous leadership development programs, we strive to create inclusive, engaging, and sustainable workplaces where teams can thrive and make a positive impact on the world.
Our values shape who we are and guide us in everything we do. As a values-driven business, we make decisions with a clear and cohesive vision that aligns with our beliefs.

Curiosity noun. English
a strong desire to know and learn
Curiosity drives self-awareness and growth. At Bluebird, we believe in continuously improving through active listening and a commitment to challenge the status quo. We strive to develop leaders who are open-minded, eager to grow, and focused on making a positive impact in the world.

that exists between people when they feel seen, heard, and valued; when they can give and receive without judgment; and when they derive sustenance and strength from the relationship."

Meet our team
Hello! I am Cherry, Founder and Managing Director of Bluebird Leadership. With over 20 years of experience in senior leadership and executive roles, I am a seasoned leadership facilitator, coach, speaker, and consultant who provides innovative solutions and thought leadership to transform leaders and organisations across various industries and geographies. That’s my professional blurb! Let me start at the beginning (I promise it’s not war and peace) but if we’re going to work together you might want to know who I am and what drives me. I was born in Myanmar and migrated to Australia in the late eighties when multiculturalism wasn’t quite the norm yet. I was (and still am) an adventurous and creative child and spent my youth painting, writing stories, exploring friendships and cultures as I tried to navigate the paradoxes of the East and the West, trying to find my place in the world. I grew up in Sydney and now called the land of the Turrbal peoples (Brisbane) home, with my husband Andrew, my son Dylan and our two Labradors Charlie and Lola. I’ve been fortunate in my career to have travelled and lived in exciting and remote places around the world, having worked across the Americas, Asia Pacific and Europe. During my corporate career, I worked within large, complex businesses, usually during times of significant change and growth (sometimes downsizing), leading cross-cultural teams. Through my experiences, I have developed a deep understanding of how culture drives performance, and the mindset shifts required to transform and develop leaders and workforces to think differently about leadership, sustainability and leaving a positive legacy. I am lifelong learner and a ski enthusiast and my passion for the sport is the key driver behind Bluebird Leadership. Skiing has developed me into a resilient and purposeful business leader who thrives in the face of change and adversity. I bring equal parts passion and pragmatism to developing better leaders for a better world.
